| Dear Viewers, Peace be to you in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This month of August can be very hot and humid making it difficult for all of us to breath. The Dog Days of Summer begin in July and go through August. These days are known to be hot and sultry. In Genesis 2:7, it states "The Lord God formed man out of the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life, and so man became a living being." |

This
month let us consider the concept of clean air for all of us to
breathe. Air is mostly composed of nitrogen, oxygen, argon and other
gases. Air pollution comes from many sources such as cars, buses,
factories, airplanes, and windblown dust to name a few. The National
Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) list six criteria pollutants
harmful to people and the environment. They are Carbon Monoxide,
Nitrogen Dioxide, Lead, Ozone, Particulate Matters, and Sulfur Dioxide.
Recently, there has been an increase of asthma in children. However,
there is evidence that breast feeding in the first four months of life
reduces the child's risk for developing asthma. Some other areas of
prevention are to reduce and control the triggers that set off the
response to asthma attacks. Some of the triggers are air pollutants,
smoking, dust mites, cockroaches, pet allergens, indoor mold, certain
foods, pollens in the air, aspirin and cold air. Always follow the
protocol of your health care provider.
Peace be with you and as He said..."He breathed on them, "Receive the Holy Spirit" (John 29:22). | |
