Dear Viewers, In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Joy and Peace to all this Advent Season. "He will come again in glory" (Luke 21:25-28). As we enter these four weeks of Advent, this time is used in anticipation and hope of Christ's coming. Webster's Dictionary defines hope as a feeling that what is wanted will happen; the desire is accompanied by expectation. Anticipation is to look forward to, to be ahead of in doing. |

| Although, there is much commercialism and secularism during this holy time, Christians have high hopes and expectations at this joyous time. Some of the ways preparations are accomplished for Christmas are: we are called to pray, fast and share our gifts. During this time of sharing, we experience happiness, festivity, and the beauty of religious decorations and other traditions such as the Advent Wreath, and Nativity Scenes. Some positive points for all to take care of themselves are to reduce the stresses of buying the perfect gift, eat healthy food, consume less alcohol, reduce role overload, and increase exercise. Coping at Christmas can be more positive by planning ahead , eat less fattening foods, keep quiet time to pray, go to the church of your choice, buy gifts with in your financial means, stay healthy by eating and sleeping regularly, and limit exposure to colds and flu. For gifts for children buy safe toys by studying the labels as this is the time for children. As we are praying and fasting, and sharing our gifts, the anticipation and hope of our salvation in His Kingdom energizes us to change our lives for the day we will meet Christ face to face. Happy St. Nicholas Day December 6th. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:116). | |
