Dear Viewers,
.
Peace to all in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "As they continued their journey He entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed Him "(Luke 10:38).As we enter the season which hosts Thanksgiving and Christmas, let us think about and focus on the concept of hospitality. Hospitality according to Webster's Dictionary means the act or practice of kindness, friendliness and being solicitous towards guest and new arrivals.

Hospitality is a moral issue (www.therealpresence.org). There is history of hospitality in the scriptures from Abraham Gen. 18:1-15 to Zachaeus Luke 19:1-10 to name some. Many churches today have Hospitality Ministry Committees to welcome church goers. Hospitality is a most basic human value (www.geocities.com/seapadre_1999/16thSunday-c.html).

Parish Nurses compliment Martha and Mary from the scripture. Martha was a busy person taking care of the physical needs of Jesus to provide a caring, protective environment. We thank our Parish Nurses for being Marthas. Mary did something else as she sat at Jesus' feet and attentively listened to his very word. Parish Nurses listen to their patients/clients every word in order to intervene for their need to help them spiritually, physically and emotionally. You are WELCOME to stop by and visit your Parish Nurse. Celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary October 7,2004.
