Dear Viewers,
Peace to all in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. September is recognized as National Children's Cancer Month, National Ovarian Awareness Month, National Healthy AgingTM Month, and autumn begins. Let's focus on the concept of aging healthier. Then the Lord said, "My spirit shall not remain in man forever, since he is but flesh. His days shall comprise one hundred and twenty years." (Gen.6:3) |

Aging is defined by Mosby's Dictionary as the process of growing old, owing in part to a failure of body cells to function normally or to produce new body cells.....
Gerontology is defined as the study of the aging process. Baby Boomers are from the years of 1946-1964 and are reaching the ages of 60 years old now and are demanding that science develop means of keeping our bodies and minds fit and young. The US Census Bureau states that 30% of our population is comprised of Baby Boomers. So, how do we age healthier? Some tips are: stay active every day and exercise daily, especially walking, develop a prayer life, eat nutritionally, keep your mind active by reading, doing crossword puzzles, develop a hobby, volunteer in the community, laugh a lot, and keep in touch with your Health Care Provider. John 10:10 states, "I came that they might have life and have it to the full." A Basic Parish Nurse Preparation course at Viterbo University Lacrosse, Wi. starting October 12,13, 19,20,26.27, 2007.
