What does it mean to love our heart and care for our heart? How can we as individuals take loving care of our hearts? How do we care for the hearts of our children?
First of all, it is vitally important for our health to give our hearts the care they need by staying fit everyday through exercising at least 30 minutes 3-5 times a week. Every individual must make a lifetime commitment to taking care of their hearts. We all can follow a heart healthy diet of vegetables, fruits, grains, low-fat dairy, and foods low in cholesterol, salt, saturated fats and trans fats. Also, keep your blood pressures and blood sugars under control. We can also concentrate on losing weight, stopping smoking and keeping regular appointments with our Health Care Provider. In regard to the fitness and heart care of our children, it is much the same as for all of us. In addition, please read Mary Lou Preston's children's book, " DO YOU KNOW WHAT WILDCATS DO AT SCHOOL IN P.E. CLASS?" "WILDCATS FIRST DAY IN CLASS." It is available at www.dorrancebookstore and www.amazon.com. John 11:25 states, "I am the resurrection and life......" WALK WITH THE LORD. My book, A COLLECTION OF PARISH NURSE NEWSLETTERS is available at www.dorrancebookstore.com; amazon.com; and Eden Book Store (1877-627-5653) toll free. | |
