The month of January is noted for National Eye Care and Cervical Health Awareness Month and goal setting for the year.
This newsletter will focus on the disease of Lymphoma. Lymphoma ia a disease of the lymphatic system involving the abnormal, uncontrollable increase of cells which can be malignant/cancerous. The two main groups of lymphoma in humans are Hodgkins (HL) and Non-Hodgkins (NHL). There is a slightly more occurrence in men than women. It occurs in all ages from childhood to the elderly. Some of the symptoms are: fever, chills, night sweats, lack of energy, itching, painless swelling of lymph nodes in neck, under arm, or in the groin. If these symptoms persist see your health care provider immediately. There has been an increase of the NHL cases since the 1970's. Discovering that you have Lymphoma can be devastating for the patient and family. Seek answers to your questions from your health care team about the treatment and condition including spiritual , financial, anxiety, grief, working, infection, pain, emotional feelings of isolation, hopelessness, and physical issues. (www.lymphomainfo.net) St. Paul states in 1 Thessalonians 5 16:17 "Rejoice always, never cease praying."
